20 YEARS ON FROM THE END OF THE SOVIET UNION: PROSPECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN THE POST-SOVIET SPACE

July 4th 2011: This CEELBAS-supported event, held at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office by kind invitation of the Minister of State Rt Hon Lord David Howell, was co-organised by the School of Government and Society at the University of Birmingham, the FCO, and the John Smith Memorial Trust (JSMT). Conference participants included postgraduate researchers and leading academics from CEELBAS universities, as well as members of the 2010 and 2011 JSMT Fellowship Programmes, and FCO experts. CEELBAS Director, Dr Robin Aizlewood, joined the Introductory Welcome Panel.

  • On July 15th 2011 CEELBAS was delighted to host at a reception at UCL SSEES for participants on the Aston University Summer School EU External Relations. Negotiations with Third Countries in Context (run by former CEELBAS Postdoctoral Fellow Nat Copsey)
