CEELBAS International Partners
CEELBAS universities have agreements in place with a number of international partners. Under these agreements, international partners contribute to CEELBAS through participation in CEELBAS activities and events. Members of these institutions are also included on the CEELBAS Database of Expertise under the category of International Affiliate.
CEELBAS universities currently have formal partnerships with the following institutions:

University of Birmingham CREES has had an ERASMUS Agreement with the Aleksanteri Institute since 1997. In addition there has been research collaboration between the two institutions.

Students spend their first year at UCL SSEES and their second year at the partner university to receive a joint degree upon completion.
There is a separate agreement between Charles University and UCL SSEES under the Life Long Learning - ERASMUS programme. The current agreement is valid from 2009/10 to 2012/13.

In April 2010, Professor George Kolankiewicz, CEELBAS Managing Director, was appointed to the International Advisory Board of the University's Institute of Global and European Integration Studies (IGES).

An inter-university agreement concluded in 2003. Under the agreement a number of University of Birmingham CREES PhD students have spent time at the HSE; HSE staff have visited CREES. In 2005 Birmingham University awarded the scientific leader of the HSE, Dr Evgenii Yasin, an honorary degree.
A separate inter-university agreement was concluded in 2007. The agreement relates to the Erasmus Mundus International Masters in Economy, State and Society with reference to Eastern Europe. Students spend their first year at UCL SSEES and their second year at the partner university to receive a joint degree upon completion.
