End:

Location: Cambridge University
This is the second of two CEELBAS-funded workshops on the theme of international elites and identity formation in the post-Soviet space. It follows on from the successful workshop held at Cambridge University on 27th November 2009 addressing the ways in which internationalization of economics and politics interact with domestic interests to shape national identity (further details here).
Papers at the second workshop will address the ways in which domestic and international or exogenous elites influence the formation of identity (national, international, regional, religious, class and individual) in the countries of post-Soviet space, and will consider both internal and external influences on personal and state (as well as regional) identity.
Participation from scholars working in this area is invited. No charge is made, but space is limited and participants must register. We have no funds to support travel or other expenses. Please confirm your participation by email to Irina Ginns -
