On 9th April the Global Europe Centre organised a series of events as part of the University of Kent's Europe Day celebrations, including an information stand on Ukraine and Revolution, presentations to launch a new student journal special issue on Europe in the World, language taster sessions and a European Cultures show.

Among other activities that took place throughout the day included a 'European University Challenge', a concert by university students, a photography exhibition and a European Elections hustings.

Three University of Kent doctoral students – Eske van Gils, Igor Merheim-Eyre and Lucas Janulewicz – also presented a printed edition of working papers from the GEC workshop held back in October 2013, supported by CEELBAS and the Kent Graduate School. ‘All things to all people? Internal and external approaches to Europeanisation’ brings together short papers on aspects of Europeanisation, the challenge of its conceptualisation, and the overall future of the research agenda of European studies.
